For generations of Americans, the cry "Remember Pearl Harbor" has always been hard to understand. Our parents and grandparents knew as adults on December 7, 1941 a lesson that we could not learn as children from books.
September 11 changed that for a new set of generations. Thousands of our fellow Americans died. Millions of American lives were changed in the course of a few hours. We are all seared with the painful memory of watching the world change before our eyes.
Take a moment to give thanks for the service and sacrifices of the people who protect our freedom. September 11th will always be our day to never forget.
